Extreme Wedding Cake Challenge
Are you the very best in extreme wedding cake artistry? Can you design and structure a truly unique piece that will hold up for three days of constant ooh’s and aah’s? Whether you prefer fondant or buttercream to enter in the competition, extreme cakes to be on display all three days; professional judging takes place on Monday, March 11 to award gold, silver and bronze medals. The People’s Choice Award will be decided on Wednesday, March 13 at 1:00 pm. Categories for beginners/students and intermediate/advanced. $25 per cake to enter includes 1 year free membership to WBA (current members not eligible for free membership.)
Creative Cake Decorating Competition
Choose a design in your specialty: Rolled Fondant, Flowers/Sprays/Designs, Special Occasion or Sculpted/Novelty to become the best in Wisconsin decorating. Cupcake Warrior Championship – New in 2013!
Think you have what it takes to win the Cupcake Mirror Ball Trophy? Teams of two professional cupcake bakers from around the Midwest are invited to compete in 3 challenging rounds on Monday, March 11 to create the most unique and delicious cupcakes. Round one entails assembling a stunning display incorporating “Dancing with Cupcakes” theme. Round two is taste and design judging of three cupcakes, where one cupcake must contain the challenge ingredient: liquor. Round three is sampling for People’s Choice. $25 entry fee per team of two. Register by 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013.
Wisconsin Bakers Association will provide copies of all professional judging scores to all entrants 10 days following the completion of Expo events via your pre-registered e-mail address. To obtain printed copies, please contact the WBA following the 10 day processing period.
